We develop software that utilizes camera data to detect particles in liquid. The main collaborator of Octapoda Ltd. is the Tokyo University of Marine Science. Octapoda is also involved in designing software for experimental projects in fish farming and shellfish cultivation. For example, monitoring to optimize feed utilization. One common feature of Octapoda's software is automating sampling using cameras and software.
MarPar Software for Oceanographers and Environmental Research, has been an ongoing collaboration with the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology for the past two years. We have been developed a prototype for oceanographic research: the SUNADAYODA camera and housing, capable of reaching depths of up to 200 meters. With our camera's resolution of 21 micrometers per pixel, we capture the small organisms of the ocean ecosystem, such as the mezo zooplankton. MarPar specializes in video editing, sensor synchronization, and performing multiple calculations. With our tailored software solutions, you can accomplish in four hours what would typically take more than 14 days. This project is generously supported by Rannís Technology Development Fund.
